1. Introduction

Welcome to DealShop Ireland. We're building a trusted, modern marketplace for Ireland, because buying from strangers shouldn't be a leap of faith. These Terms of Service govern your use of our platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 years of age or older to use this platform, or 16+ with the consent of a parent or guardian. By using our services, you agree to comply with all applicable laws of the Republic of Ireland.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the platform, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process. Email confirmation is required to activate your account.

4. Prohibited Items

You may not list or sell any of the following items on DealShop:

• Firearms, weapons, and ammunition
• Illegal drugs and controlled substances
• Live animals (no exceptions)
• Counterfeit goods
• Adult content
• Personal data of third parties

5. Escrow Service Terms

When Escrow goes live, it will protect both buyers and sellers as follows:

• How it works: The buyer's funds are held securely by DealShop Escrow until the item is received and approved.
• Dispute Resolution: The buyer has 48 hours after receiving the item to declare an issue. If a dispute is raised, our team will investigate.
• Refunds: Refunds are processed if the item is significantly not as described or never arrives.
• Platform Fee: A transparent Buyer Protection fee of 2% + €0.50 applies to escrow transactions, displayed upfront before completion of payment.

6. Seller Responsibilities

Sellers must ensure all item descriptions are accurate. You must have the legal right to sell the items you list.

7. Buyer Responsibilities

Buyers must intend to complete the purchase when reserving an item or submitting payment.

8. Intellectual Property

DealShop retains all rights to the platform's brand, design, and codebase. Users retain the rights to the content they upload (e.g., photos of items), but grant DealShop a license to use this content to provide the service.

9. Limitation of Liability

DealShop is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland.
